BOKU – University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences
is a unique Austrian research and teaching organisation with strong focus on renewable resources, living space and quality of life as well as food chain and health issues. BOKU innovatively combines fundamental and applied expertise in the fields of natural sciences, engineering and planning sciences, and social and economic sciences to enhance the knowledge basis for sustainable management of our natural resources. Approximately 17% of the 10.000 students are international students. We have 700 scientific staff members and 430 administrative/technical staff members.

University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Science
Covering the entire supply chain leading from primary production to consumption, the main fields of education at SCIENCE are: Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Science, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Development Studies, Food and Nutrition, Forestry and Environmental Sciences. The main campus is located in central Copenhagen. SCIENCE also comprises 4 experimental farms, a Pometum and an Arboretum, thus linking theoretical studies with practical research. Around 3.500 students are enrolled at the faculty, 400 at PhD-level. The faculty employs 700 scientists and 800 technical/administrative staff. With 400 international students from more than 25 countries, SCIENCE offers a vibrant international study milieu with well-established integration and support structures.

Wageningen University and Research Centre
Wageningen UR (Wageningen University and Research Centre) is a unique organisation, that combines fundamental, strategic and applied research with innovative education at BSc, MSc and PhD levels. This extensive research base enables WUR to meet the urgent need for expertise in agriculture, the food industry and natural resource management. Wageningen UR has a dual focus: food and environment. WUR emphasizes finding the right combinations of scientific insight and skills, including practical skills, which can lead to innovative applications. This goal is given shape by the close interaction between science, society and business. Wageningen University hosts more than 4.500 students. Around 550 international students from 90 different countries participate in the MSc programs. 200 students receive their PhD degree annually, of which around 1/3 are international students.

University of Hohenheim
The University of Hohenheim is a small but prestigious university located in the South of Stuttgart. In a unique campus environment around the 200 years old castle about 10.000 students are enrolled in the research-intensive university. Teaching and research focus on Natural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, and Economic and Social Sciences with special emphasis on Life Sciences and the Food Chain concept. With around 16 % of the students coming from almost 100 countries of all parts of the world, Hohenheim is an internationally oriented university offering BSc, MSc and PhD programmes.

Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences
SLU – the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences provides science-based expertise regarding the development and use of biological resources. The strong research and educational agenda ranges from genes and molecules up to entire ecosystems; through Biotechnology, Natural Resource Management, Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Sustainable Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry, Food and Soil Science and Landscape Architecture. SLU has four main campuses (Uppsala, Umeå, Alnarp and Skara), in total 6.200 undergraduate and 900 PhD students and offers a broad spectrum of professional and general educational programmes with over 150 courses in English, at the BSc, MSc and PhD levels.

University of Ljubljana
Established in 1919, the University of Ljubljana is the central and largest educational and research institution in Slovenia with 50.000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, taking over 300 different undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes. It employs approximately 6,000 higher education teachers, researchers, assistants and administrative staff in 23 faculties and 3 arts academies. With the faculty of health sceinces, economics, architecture, social sciences, electrical engineering, pharmacy, civil engineering and geodesy, chemiistry and chemical technology, mathematics and physics, maritime studies and transport, computer and information science, social work, mechanical engineering, sport, administration, arts, medicine, natural sciences and engineering, education, law, theology and the veterinary as well as the biotechnical faculty the University of Ljubljana offers a broad range of studies. The university is renowned for its quality social and natural sciences and technical study programmes. All faculties and three academies are located in the city centre.

Czech University of Life Sciences Prague
The Czech University of Life Sciences Prague is the third largest university in Prague and the only university in Prague with a landscaped campus, with trees, small ponds, green lawns and tended flower beds, clean Halls of Residence for 2500 students, a newly refurbished Dining Hall, many new lecture halls with e-learning technology, as well as a number of laboratories with state-of-the-art facilities. Currently CULS has 6 Faculties: Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources, Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and a Faculty of Tropical Agri Sciences. Furthermore, CULS has an Institute of Education and Communication, focussing on teacher training for vocational schools. CULS also operates a large Forestry Establishment, a Gardening Centre, and an Agricultural Farm, with trial fields for crop production and an important animal breeding programme (e.g. Holstein cows, Jersey cows, Czech Red cows, African Antelopes, Peruvian Lamas, etc.). CULS is a temporary home for more than 23 000 students, including nearly 1600 international students from 86 countries from around the world. More than 1,500 staff members (academics, researchers, technicians and administrative workers) form a successful and dynamic academic team. Graduates from CULS Prague have excellent job opportunities in the private or corporate business sectors, in agribusiness, forestry and horticulture, in environmental engineering and applied ecology in government organisations and private firms.
