1. Which English tests/certificates are accepted?

2. When do I have to decide at which University to go?

During the MSc SIFC you have to study abroad for at least half a year. Since you should apply for an ERASMUS scholarship, the deadline for application is 31st January. That means, e.g., that for the academic year 2022/23 you should decide in January 2022. For further details please contact the IROs at your university (see above).

3. Do I have to pay tuition fees at the ELLS Universities?

The ELLS Universities will not charge any tuition fees for SIFC students who have applied for an ERASMUS scholarship.

4. Is there any compulsory internship during SIFC?

There are no internships which are compulsory, but, of course, voluntary practical training (during the summer period) is welcome.

5. Where do I register for courses at BOKU?

After you got admitted and after you activated your IT account, you can sign up for classes. Sing in into your BOKUonline account by clicking on the Log In button on the right side. After signing in, you can search for courses (under the application "Courses"). Enter the six digit course code if looking for a specific course. The results are listed below. O the right side you can read if the course is open for registration and register by clicking on "Go to course registration". By clicking on the  the course title or the arrow at the right side, you can get detailed information of this course.

6. Is it possible that I have to make up courses?

Admission criteria may be assessed individually, thus it could be possible that you have to make up some courses if you are lacking specific knowledge required by the curriculum. This can be as high as 30 ECTS. You can attend the required courses parallel to the master programme.

7. What's the process of enrollment at BOKU?

  1. Prior to your initial admission to a university degree program at BOKU, an online pre-registration via the internet is required (in case you have not studied at BOKU before)
  2. Application for admission.  You find the required documents here.                                                                     Example for the admission into master programmes for applicants with EU and EEA citizenship who have international qualifications:                                                                                                                                             - Completed application form
          - evidence of previous studies (bachelor degree, diploma)
          - transcript stating subjects, marks, ECTS
          - CV
          - Evidence of adequate proficiency of English
  3. Notification of admission via E-Mail (may take up to 15 weeks). You can pick up your certificate of admission at the Registration office.
  4. Payment of the tuition fee (possible to do it together with the acceptance at the Registration office).
  5. Acceptance at the Registration office during the enrollment period or the extended enrollment period (for master programmes).                                                                                                                                                    Required documents if you are a first time student at the BOKU (you have not been admitted to another Austrian university yet)                                                                                                                                                               - Passport
