Admission criteria at BOKU Vienna
Students who intend to enrol for the MSc SIFC need a degree in the BSc “Food Science and Biotechnology” or in an equivalent BSc study programme of any national or international university (compare study curriculum § 2).
Graduates in other BSc study programmes need to have basic knowledge in the fields of chemistry, physics, (micro-)biology, as well as technology. If necessary, admission criteria will be assessed individually.
Applicants must have a good command of English. English language certificates at a level of B2 or C1 of the European Reference Framework have to be submitted for the admission. Equivalent to these certificates are the following exams:
- BOKU language course (at least level English III)
- Cambridge certificate of Advanced English
- IELTS-Test (results 6.0 or better)
- completion of a study programme that was entirely taught in English or
- TOEFL-test (577 paper based; 90-91 internet based, 233 computer based)
