Statements of students who graduated in the last years:

After my part-time bachelor studies in food- and biotechnology and working in the food industry for quite some time I wanted my career to shift from the lab and drawing board to the supreme discipline in food business: Food quality management. Food quality management is nowadays the hotspot and “fun-park” of every food producing company. The master program Safety in the Food Chain provided a solid and international oriented basis for my career path. The profound education in the fields of food technology, chemistry and microbiology combined with relevant aspects of management and law is the ideal mix one needs to start a successful career in the food industry, in food consulting or in national or international institutions. Furthermore the programs modular structure and its flexibility enables the student to either focus on an area of interest or to browse through a variety of different topics and fields. Being asked if I would study SIFC again, my answer would be a certain “Yes, I would”.

I participated in the SIFC Programme between 2011 and 2013. My first experience with BOKU was as an Erasmus Exchange Student when I was doing my Bachelor’s in Ege University- Food Engineering in Turkey in 2008.
This programme helps you to gain lots of values during the period both with increasing creativity and having expertise in some specific fields with professional trainers.
Studying in an international atmosphere, get to know different people from all over the world and exchanging both cultures and knowledge were also great experiences besides the studies. Now after completing my studies, I am working in an international company, IFF – International Flavours and Fragrances, Turkey.
I definitely advice this unique programme to everyone, who wants to get proficiency and have a place one step ahead compared to others in their careers.
