FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Which English tests/certificates are accepted?

In principle, the following tests/certificates are accepted:

  • TOEFL
  • IELTS
  • Cambridge Certificate
  • or equal certificates

In detail, this question has to be answered by each individual SIFC-university. Please contact the International Relation Offices (IRO):

2. When do I have to decide at which University to go?

During the MSc SIFC you have to study abroad for at least half a year. Since you should apply for an ERASMUS scholarship, the deadline for application is 31st January. That means, e.g., that for the academic year 2007/08 you should decide in January 2007. For further details please contact the IROs at your university (see above).

3. Do I have to pay tuition fees at the ELLS Universities?

The ELLS Universities will not charge any tuition fees for SIFC students who have applied for an ERASMUS scholarship.

4. Is there any compulsory internship during SIFC?

There are no internships which are compulsory, but, of course, voluntary practical training (during the summer period) is welcome.

For further questions please contact the SIFC coordinators or the SIFC staff at your university
